The Crafty Closet Make-Over!

Everyone loves to see a good before and after, right? Then Join me… and Coco for a crafty closet makeover. The results are inspiring! At least they were for me. I was so tired of the mess. You know how everything ends up everywhere, especially when you are in the middle of awesome projects.

You just start flinging stuff everywhere and tossing it on the floor or all available empty spots so you cna get that project done.

Well….. a small bedroom and lots of projects don’t seem to be working together very well.

And it’s worse when it’s also used for studying and work space ( you know.. bills , etc).

It needed to get more organized!

Sometimes it has to get worse.. ok .. much worse… before it can get better. Luckily with some re-organizing and a little bit of purging, the closet on the right was able to be used mostly just for crafting/art supplies.

Coco was more than ready to help!

These art cubes were found at Michaels. I loved that you could pick the sizes and shapes to mix and match for what your storage needs are. The teal boxes were on sale for $3 each! I used a re-purposed nightstand for the drawers on the right.

Thankfully, I didn’t need to paint it white to match. Might add some stickers to dress it up. Or not.. Depends on how adventuresome I get.

And a few more final touches……

The shelving unit I was able to swipe from a friend who didn’t want it anymore ( yah! free stuff) and I already had the fabric basket to put my Copics in.

So much better! Right? It was a busy weekend, but so worth it. This space just makes you want to sit and create!
