Why You’re Not Receiving an Email

Make sure you’re receiving the emails you want by whitelisting that email address (whether you’re using using Gmail, Outlook.com or Yahoo! Mail).

Email service provider try to protect you from unwanted emails by pushing them directly into a SPAM folder… which is great for most things, but can be frustrating when you’re trying to find an email (like to rest a password) but it never shows up in your in-box.

Here is a quick guide with a simple walk-though on how to whitelist emails.

How to Whitelist an Email – if you use Gmail

STEP 1:

Sign in to your Gmail.com account 

STEP 2:

Add the email address you want to whitelist to your Gmail Contacts. (You do this because Google is pretty good about delivering emails from addresses in your Contacts List.)

STEP 3:

If Gmail has marked the Scrapbooking Daily email as spam, mark the message as “Not Spam”

From a Desktop, follow these direction:

  1. In Gmail, click on the spam folder.
  2. Search for the email you want to whitelist (eg scrapbookingdaily.com).
  3. Select all the emails shown.
  4. Click “More” and then click “Not spam.”

From the Gmail App on your phone, follow these direction:

How to Whitelist an Email – if you use Outlook.com, Hotmail, MSN, or Windows Live

STEP 1:

Sign in to your email account 

STEP 2:

Add the email address you want to whitelist to your Contacts. (You do this because Windows is pretty good about delivering emails from addresses in your Contacts List.)

STEP 3:

Add the email address to your Safe Senders List

  1. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner, then click “More Mail Settings”
  2. Select “Safe and Blocked Senders”
  3. Select “Safe Senders”
  4. Add add the www.Scrapbookingdaily.com domain
  5. Go back to the “Safe and Blocked Senders” section
  6. Click on “Safe Mailing Lists”
  7. Add the email addresses of you want to whitelist

STEP 4:

If the Scrapbooking Daily email has been marked as spam, mark the message as “Not Spam”

How to Whitelist an Email – if you use Yahoo! Mail

STEP 1:

Sign in to your email account 

STEP 2:

Add the email address you want to whitelist to your Contacts. (You do this because Yahoo! is pretty good about delivering emails from addresses in your Contacts List.)

STEP 3:

Create a filter for the email address by…

  1. Hover over the Settings menu icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Filters 
  4. Click Add
  5. Enter a Filter Name (Scrapbooking Daily/ Mad Stamper)
  6. Then Enter
    • The domain www.Scrapbookingdaily.com
    • And the email addresses for Kathy, Sarah, and Jenny
  7. Select “Inbox” as the folder to deliver email to
  8. Click Save
