Using a few supplies, some blank bookmarks ( or make your own out of card stock) you can transform plain paper into these beauties.
The instructions go through using different types of pencils to draw the designs, color and then wash to achieve the watercolor effect.
But I think you could do the same with some art stamps, waterproof ink pad, and watercolor pencils. Stamp your images, color them in, and then wash with a little water.
If you don’t want the entire image to be watercolor, do the background first, then let dry. Stamp your image over the top of the watercolor area and then color in with markers or colored pencils.
Either way, these would be awesome gifts. Tuck inside a book lovers favorite books and they will adore you.
